Today we picked up our new degu Mingla and so far everything seems to go very well with introducing her to the others. No fighting yet, just some “who are you?” chirping and a cocky Cola, but nothing bigger than that. That’s a relief.
Welcome home Mingla, hope you’ll like it here.
Cola, Pepsi, RC and Mingla - nutty degus
We bought a degu, and a new big cage, and we’re picking it up tomorrow. I’m so excited about this and I really hope that introducing this new degu will go well. The new cage is a bird cage, it’s like 160 cm high so it perfect for degus who like to climb things. There was a similar one in the pet store where I used to send my days and those cages are neat, easy to clean and all.
Yay for pets!
Other than that, slow day with doing boring laundry. Probably wouldn’t be so boring if it wasn’t for the fact that I gotta lug all the laundry to the laundry room in our neighbor building, climbing endless amounts of stairs.

I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this earlier here but I finally started to take my rather frequent and rather bad headaches serious enough to the point where I decided to seek help for it. About a month ago I saw a doctor for it and she advised me to get an appoint with a physical therapist as it’s related to the tension in my neck.
So yeah, today was my first appointment and I was nervous. Nervous cause I never really see doctors to begin with and cause I was scared that she wasn’t gonna take me serious. I was wrong, thankfully.
The physical therapist was really nice and she listened to everything I said, she asked me tons of questions and pressed on the muscles in my neck. We decided that we’re gonna start of with trying to teach me to relax the muscles by myself and if that doesn’t work for me move on to acupuncture to see if that can help. Once the appointment was over and I was walking back home again I felt so relieved over actually dealing with this now and feeling that they’re listening to me and taking me serious, I just should have dealt with this earlier.
After the appointment I just went home and did a few things before I headed over to my parents house. I had an appointment with a (great) hair dresser where they live. I liked how it turned out, very similar to last time, but I liked that hair do a lot so I don’t mind
Well, in 6 minutes Dirty Jobs is starting so I better wrap this up.
P.S. Thanks for all the fun e-mails that you send me Patty!

Today me and Lev went to Nova outside of Lund for some shopping and just doing something outside of the house Haha.
First stop for a purchase was Rusta, Lev got some remote control thing that you can hook up with the three lamps/appliances, and with the remote turn them on and off and got some makeup remover facial cloths. At Rusta we also found a collectors edition of Trainspotting that we just had to get, it’s in a steal box and the cover is pretty neat as well. Figures that we found this one today since we bought the “normal” dvd just a couple of days ago… Well, we had to get it for the collection anyhow.
After Rusta we stopped by Jysk to get one (haha) towel and lights for the Christmas tree. We wanted to switch to LED lamps as they don’t use as much energy as the old (inherited from my grandma) lights we have do. Lev got to pick so we got multi colored lights for the tree, it’s gonna look awesome with my plans for the tree this year (We’re gonna have Mario and Luigi in the tree…)
Once done at Jysk we were tired of Lund and went back to Eslöv, stopped for some gas and then headed to ÖB (we only shopped in discount stores today… We’re cheapskates) At ÖB we treated ourselves to a liter of motor oil, plant stuff and 4 Pepsi’s.
Last stop was ICA were we got dinner (pasta with blue cheese sauce) and a pineapple for me!

It’s been a so so day that all of sudden turned all yay due to an e-mail I just got. I read a bunch of beauty blogs every day, and one of them had a contest where you could win products from Shuhada Nature. I usually never enters those things but figured what the hell and entered, I got so surprised today when I got an e-mail stating that I actually won. Yay! And yay for Karin behind the blog Vacker & Underbar, who arranged the contest!

Our bunny is going through some phase right now, one were he’s a big perv. He’s in love with Lev’s arms and whenever he gets a chance during the evenings he tries to have a go with them. Lev even told me that some night ago the bunny jumped up in the bed and tried to have a go with him while he was sleeping… What a perverted little bunny…
It’s Saturday and I’m already bored cause I don’t really know what to do. Was thinking of taking care of myself, like do some moisture mask for my face and stuff.
As of yesterday I now have tons of free time as my time in the pet store has ended, 3 months sure flew by quickly. The job in the store was without a doubt the funniest job I’ve ever done and I really wish that I could do that for a living. Fortunately I got be realistic with that, there’s not that many pet stores and most of them are small ones that don’t have a big need for hiring personal. Only good thing is that I can start wearing nail polish again (painted nails are a big no no when it comes to fish tanks)
Well, off to do something with this day. At least something besides lurking around in my pajama.

No updates in about a week, shame on me! It’s been a pretty slow week so nothing to report really, well, almost.
Yesterday was a baaaad day. It started with me not being able to sleep during the night as my head was hurting so much, I tried with the heating pad, pills and I tried sleeping on every one of my pillows but nothing helped. I don’t remember what time it was but at some point I start to get really nauseous and eventually vomits. I don’t know if it was from the headache or the medicine or maybe a mix of both. Anyways, I spend my morning vomiting and have to stay home from the pet store.
Around 1 pm I’m awake after 2 hours of sleep and not vomiting, Lev takes me to the store so I get some food in my tummy. The rest of the afternoon was spent just trying to get energy back into my body, I was all weak after having no food in my tummy for so long and vomiting so much.
Later on I was at least up and about so much that I could go the clinic nearby and get vaccinated with the swine flu vaccine. The whole process went really quick and it didn’t hurt at all, I barely felt the needle. It was more like I was stung by a mosquito than having a needle stuck into the muscle in my arm.
I’ve been lucky cause no side effects from the vaccine yet, just a soar arm that just meant that I couldn’t sleep on my left side Possibly also some headache but since that haunts me often normally I can’t really tell if it’s from the vaccine or not.
Anybody else getting vaccinated put there?

It snowed for the first time yesterday, wasn’t much but enough for me to start wanting to desert this country for some place warmer… say Hawaii (they grow pineapples there and I love pineapple)
Now I need a job that would await me and a visa. Gimme?

Another Monday, another update.
Weekend was good.
Came home late as usual on Fridays, I stressed down in the laundry room and managed to wash 4 machines of laundry before the time was up. Once back in the apartment, hungry and tired, I was greeted with 10 red roses on my desk. Lev is the best guy ever.
For dinner we had tacos while watching The Shining.
Saturday meant shopping with my lil’ sister which was cool, I got a new skirt and an eyeliner (define a liner from Maybelline) The evening included pizza and the movie “Longest Yard” while we were waiting for potential trick or treaters, no luck on the later part tho unfortunately.
I woke up around 7:30 am on Sunday and spent an hour on the computer before I started getting ready. 12 am it was scheduled for the whole family to meet up at an restaurant as my grandparents invited us out for “smörgåsbord” to celebrate their b-days.
After like 2 hours of eating we drove to my parents place where my sister treated us all to cake, nuts and fruit in order to celebrate her b-day. So yeah, I celebrated three birthday’s yesterday and I had so much good food it’s almost ridiculous.
New week now and I’m gonna spend it looking for a (preferably free) aquarium. Don’t ask, I get new ideas every day for what animal I wanna get, this week it happens to be fishies…
