Halo 3

September 27th, 2007

Well, I live with a gamer and this of course effects my life. I don’t know if anyone really has managed to miss that the 25th of September meant the release of Halo3 in Europe/Sweden but this had an impact on my/our life. Why you might ask, but the fact that we changed our work schedule around, sat up to midnight and drove to a mall in the middle of the night might have something to do with it.

We started the evening by eating some food and watching a movie (Patch Addams) and once the clock starting to get closer to 22:30 we got in the car and drove to the nearest EB Games where Lev had pre booked a copy of Halo 3. As he was aiming to get the Legendary Edition and this was not guaranteed through pre booking it we had stand in line so that he could get a hold of it.

Fun for us, when we arrive there’s two other persons waiting besides us… Haha. Well, more people showed up later but I doubt that there was actually more than like 10 people around when the mall finally opened up at midnight. With so little people in line there was no bigger rush into the store in the mall, the guys in front of us was however very determined to be first it seemed and they managed without any bigger effort.

Lev and me was the second ones getting in the store and standing in line and everything went really smooth. He got a hold of his beloved Halo 3 Legendary Edition and even one of the cool painted controllers that has been released too. The whole process took about 10 mins (what a day for 10 mins :P Haha) and we were soon on our way home again.

When we got home it felt that this whole thing was worth it cause the Legendary Edition was really cool. It’s this big head portraying Master Chief and it contained a lot of extra material, even the fucking box it came in looked cool with prints all over it :P Lev tried the game out for a half an hour and then we went to bed around 02:00. It was a really great evening and damn, it was fun to do this whole thing, it felt that I got a taste of how it used to be when Lev was younger spending his days standing in line for gaming systems (like the Dreamcast), games and various comics :)

Here you got Master Chiefs head in plastic :P Haha, this is what we stood in line for.

Just another manic monday

September 24th, 2007

The last couple of days has included a lot of whining, complaining, blowing my nose and coughing. But today, today I feel a lot better, I actually feel a bit alert and my coughing is almost gone. Too bad for Lev as I think he caught my cold :P

Today I’m gonna go shopping with my sister, it’s getting cold over here in Sweden and we both could use a warm jacket. Well, we’ll see what we can find today, if not, it’s fun just to do something else besides laying in bed and feeling sick.

Sick

September 21st, 2007

It probably wasn’t even a month ago since I got sick the last time and here I am again, with fever and a runny nose that I can’t seem to ever stop blowing. Been sleeping since last night basically, to tired and feverish to be out of bed.

Lucky me I got the best boyfriend in the whole world who knows how to treat someone really good. He’s been great the whole day making sure I wasn’t dying (I’m rather hypochondriac :-P ) and treated my to Subway today so we didn’t have to make any dinner ourselves. We even got two cookies in our two meals and you apparently you get bigger cookies and two of them per meal in the states. Haha, I hear that there is a lot of difference between the two countries and their food. Well, at least I got a boyfriend that complains over that you have to pay for refills of your soda over here.

I don’t really have any new news that contains anything else then gaming related subjects :-P Haha. Well, anyhow, Lev got a hold of the new PSP Slim when it got released here in Sweden and we are also planning on standing in line during the night on the 25th of September in order for him to get a hold of the Legendary Edition of Halo 3. I’m planning on bringing my DS Lite and all my games in order to stay awake and to avoid boredom. Haha, this is how it is to live with a gamer. But no worries, I love him no matter what. No we are basically just waiting for the Elite version of xbox 360 to arrive in stock again so that we/Lev can trade in the old xbox 360.

Well, I’m gonna get ready for bed now I think, I can’t stay up very late in this horrible condition (well, just a cold but as I mentioned earlier, I’m rather hypochondriac)

Ah, just wanted to thank Slymini/mom over in Texas for your wonderful comment, we appreciate it over here in Sweden :-)

I’m getting old

September 17th, 2007

Haven’t been writing much the last week, or anything at all, as I have been very busy with everything else around me. I have been working, swimming and cleaning the apartment the past week, in order for it to look good yesterday when I had my family over to celebrate my 24th birthday.

Everything went well, the food apparently tasted ok (I’m a vegetarian, I don’t know how to make food that contains meat :-p) and everything went according to my plans.

I got some lovely gifts too of course, a white DS lite with two games and some accessories from the man of the house aka Lev, season 3 of Seinfeld, giftcards, money, other various stuff, candy and a lovely knitted blanket that my grandma made for me.

Today me and Lev went to a bigger town kinda close by, in order to by new stretching jewelry for his ear and to visit a store that sells cool groceries. We also visited a store that sells international magazines and newspaper and we got a hold of 260 and a magazine about Astronomy.

The evening will bring dinner, something to watch, grapes and pomegranate soda that we got a hold of today :-)

Happy birthday

September 9th, 2007

First of all I want to wish Lev’s mom happy birthday and that hope that she has a wonderful day today :)

Other than that, it’s my “friday”today, meaning that this is the last day I work before my two day weekend. The week has been good, I’ve started swimming and are hoping to be able to keep this up. I’ve trying to plan for next week but my guess is that it’s all gonna go to hell anyhow :-P Haha.

I’m having my b-day party next Sunday and before that I have a lot of things to do. SubI need to clean the appartment, make food for at least 10 people (including cakes), work, go shopping with my little sister and continue the swimming at least 4 times next week.

But, I’m not gonna start feeling stressed over that today as I’m planning on taking it easy after work and relax a little. We are planning on having Subways for dinner since they have a great deals for two subs on Sundays. I can’t wait and I’ve been sitting here for the last 20 mins planning on what I’m having in my sub :-P

Wednesday

September 5th, 2007

As I promised that I should update this more frequently I feel that I need write a lot more often than I currently do, and there’s no other better time for this than at work when there’s nothing to do.

So, today my work week started, it started with not to much work which makes me rather restless in the afternoon when I’m sitting here in front of the computer and have read all the news there is in the local newspaper online.

Yesterday I went swimming, I even went up kinda early in order to avoid confrontation with a bigger amount of people swimming. I was nervous, I don’t like the thought of other people seeing me in a swimsuit, it ain’t pretty :P But I went, and I swam for an hour and then went home, proud for the rest of the day.

My dad apparently made a statement of that he would eat his hat with mustard on it if I started exercising on a regular basis (I made up my mind about going swimming before I heard this though) so yesterday I took the liberty to send him an sms stating that he better bring out his hat and mustard cause I just went swimming for an hour.

When I got home I found the man of the house in front of the TV and the xbox360 (not unusual at all, so don’t worry) He was playing Bioshock all over again, just on a harder difficulty and hunting down the achievements more than he did the previous time beating the game.

We had a laundry time and as I’m usually the one handling this I made a deal with Lev saying that I would wash his clothes too if he took out all the garbage that had been building up the last days. It was a great deal, it looked funny when he went out as he was struggling to hold several bags at one time… I just said “you really don’t wanna walk out there twice, huh?” and he answered with the simple “no”. Haha, he is too cute.

We made a very nice and tasty dinner and just spent the evening watching some Seinfeld and Dinosaurs (love this show)

Today my plans are going swimming again as I want to get some routine when it comes to exercising, and I’m guessing that my man is planning on spending the afternoon/evening in front of one of his consoles :-P

Observations part 1

September 4th, 2007

I’ve had my drivers license for almost 5 years now, something that has come to affect me as I realize that I react rather odd when going somewhere where another person is driving.

My sister: I sit on the passengers side and “brake” with my right foot when I think that she is to close to another car. Something that is completely meaningless as I am still sitting on the passengers side, without access to the brake pedal.

My mom: I brake with my foot in this case too, all the time. I all so check over both my shoulders several times when she is swithching lanes or taking a turn.

My dad: I sit quietly and relaxed in the car and only raise my eyebrow if he is about to pass another car.

I must say that I find my reactions rather weird, especially as it seems that I feel more safe going somewhere with my dad as a driver, even though I would consider him as the craziest driver of them all. It’s odd.

Weekend fun

September 3rd, 2007

Today was our first day of our weekend as we work Wednesday to Sunday and have Mondays and Tuesdays off.

I slept way to long this morning as I had troubles falling asleep last night and ended up taking some medication to fall asleep. It’s good cause it helps me sleep (been my hero a couple of time when having migraines) but it’s bad cause it kinda knocks me out for quite a while.

Anyways, Lev wanted to go to nearby mall so we went there for a couple of hours. I ended up with pillows for our bed, swimsuit and a wireless network card for my PC, Lev came home with a game called The Darkness for PS3 (big surprise, huh? ;-) ) and he pre ordered Halo 3 at EB games. We also stopped by a grocery store and stocked up on some groceries, including meat for Lev’s ongoing “make his own beef jerky”-project.

I got Lev to install my wireless network card so now I don’t have to struggle with the annoying chords, you gotta love wireless stuff :-P Haven’t done much more than that yet, planning on maybe continuing reading my book and trying to gather more confidence as I’m about to do something that I fear for a bit tomorrow.

I’m planning on going swimming at the local bath, I am however terrified as I have not done so in several years and the thought of other people seeing me in the state as this action requires is a bit intimidating to me. I do however need to find a form of exercising that I like in order to keep my health intact so I try to think of this whole thing as a doctor appointment, you don’t wanna go but you have to. We’ll see how it goes tomorrow.

Our bunny

September 1st, 2007

Stupid
I didn’t just get together with the love of my life when we first met 2 years ago, I also got this little cute cotton ball with the deal. Most of the times we get along perfectly, I give her food, water and clean her cage meanwhile she does funny little things that amuse me.

Then there’s the other times, the times when we are on bad terms, like today. This is not the first time this has happened and I have come to realise that this will most likely be an eternal battle. The battle over who owns the flowers and plants on the balcony.

I say that they’re mine. I was the one getting them and I am the one that is taking care of them. The bunny thinks differently, she seem to think that just because the balcony is her castle, her home, she therefor has the right to chew on the plants, especially during nights when I’m sleeping.

Hang in there for a continuation of the everlasting battle between the bunny and me ;-P

Hello

September 1st, 2007

I guess that it’s time for some sort of introduction but to be honest, I’m not that good at them.

Anyways, my real name is obviously not NeroAnima, but you will be fine just knowing that. I will see if I will manage to write about the crazy things and observations that fill my days. Until then, take care and have a great day.
