Yesterday I felt bad and I didn’t spend much time by the computer hence the procrastinated post. Today I’m up and about and been shopping with my sister. Makeup sales are dangerous… Came home with 2 nail polishes (I think I’m addicted…), brush on nail art in silver and a black glitter eyeliner.
Also bought a blu-ray for Lev, The Fugitive, since he for some odd reason think that’s a good movie and I wanted to be nice to him. Then there was all the other stuff, you know, like magazine about dogs, deodorant, coca cola and all that kind of jazz. Don’t ever send me to a store without a list, I’m no good with that cause I end up getting weird stuff that I don’t really need that badly.

And now, food perhaps?

I’ve been up since 6:30 am and now me and Lev are making smoke bombs (haha), in a couple of minutes it’s time for us to start getting ready for the day.

I can’t really remember the last Midsummer’s Eve when it didn’t rain, seems to be bad weather at this day every year. It’s been raining on and off today. I was thinking about a walk, and I’m guessing if I’m going out I’d better use my rubber boots.

Today it’s Midsummer’s Eve and a lot of people will be getting drunk over here in Sweden. Me and Lev is not part of that crowd, we are just planning on doing our usual thing. We are gonna eat “new potatoes” with sour cream and chives, to that we will have fried chicken fillets (for Lev) and fried Quorn fillets (for me) For desserts, strawberries. The party drink for the evening will be Pepsi, as we usually don’t drink cola anymore it’s kinda a festive thing to do Haha.

I went to the store earlier to get sour cream and strawberries, I like them fresh and that’s why I didn’t buy them yesterday. Anyways, I had to stand in line for like 10 min to buy strawberries, the line was probably about 50 meter long and it kept being filled even though people left with their strawberries, kinda crazy

Btw, we are probably one of the few people that works today without getting any extra compensation, this is what happens when your employer doesn’t believe in the collective agreement.

Anyways, new day today. I’m sleepy, my hay fever is acting up and it makes me so darn tired all the time. But, tomorrow is a red day (=no work) so that makes me feel better (who doesn’t love vacation), today is some day where we celebrate the arrival of spring in Sweden, also referred to as Walpurgis Night in English. Most of the time this holiday just means drunk and obnoxious teenagers Today is also the Swedish Kings birthday, not that I care, I’m not into royalties (off with their heads!) Hopefully we’ll wrap up some nice dinner tonight, might even bbq perhaps if we feel up for it (at my parents place) We’ll see.

I’m all dressed up and about get going to my parents place (and then head over to my uncles house) in a couple of minutes.
Wish that I had some fancy pic to share today, it being easter and all, but I don’t. Hopefully I’ll have some pictures once the snow has melted. Hope everyone has a nice Easter and eat tons of candy!

The second of all three pies are now in the oven getting all baked and stuff. I’m making three, two to bring to the family easter dinner tomorrow and one for precious Lev to eat today and tomorrow.

Great day today, one of those red days when we don’t work so it’s just been taking it easy all day. Just been dying my hair and made the pies, basically. Lev is playing Oblivion, one of his favorite games, on the PS3.
The xbox 360 got shipped of for repair yesterday when a guy from UPS came and picked it up. Hope it goes quick to get it repaired and sent it back, I wanna play Viva Piñata! I need to plant a Jack-O’-latern in my garden so that one of the bad guys can eat it and turn into a nice guy…

So, tomorrow will feature a easter dinner at my Uncles house around 6 pm, I’m bringing my pies as I felt that it was time for me to contribute to the evening. We’re having the typical Swedish “smörgåsbord“, which is the same food that we eat on Christmas Not much variation there…Hehe
Since I have a great mom, she is making some veggie food for me to eat. She’s making me a gratin with potatoes and then I have sausages made out of soy that I’m gonna eat, yummie!

Since it’s easter I have been having some easter eggs, but not any ordinary eater eggs, I have been eating Cadbury Eggs. Gosh, I like Cadbury Eggs so much, they’re the best thing about Easter!

Lev already started drinking and smoking his cigars and I’m making food. Just finished the raspberry pie and is currently boiling egg for the appetizers and everything is going according to my plans (I hope )

People are crazy around here with their fireworks, kids been out all day blowing the crap up… I wish they would enforce the 18 year old rule better, would eliminate all the unnecessary fireworks before midnight New Years Eve.

Good morning!

I just woke up about 30 mins ago and I’m sitting here reading the news online.

Yesterday was a great day, everything went very well. Me and Lev went to my parents place around lunch for the traditional lutefisk, we had a nice dinner and it was Lev’s first time trying the lutefisk. After the dinner we just relaxed for 30 mins in the couch and was looking trough some ads that was sent out from the bigger electronic stores here in Sweden. My parents went out for a short walk and during that time Lev was fixing so that my dad can hook up his laptop to the TV, something that he has not managed to figured out how to do in near a year now

Lev got the laptop hooked up fine to the TV of course, being a technical mastermind, and we watched some of the pictures on the laptop, from vacations and from my dads 50th birthday this summer. We almost missed turning on the Donald Duck Christmas Special but my sister remembered it at the very last minute. We actually didn’t even watch the show as we spend that time handing out the gifts. I got really nice gifts this year to and I’m very very pleased with what I got. Let’s see if I can think of it all here…

From my sister I got an triple eyeshadow from Isadora, Pink grapefruit body butter, Hello Kitty socks, a silver necklace and a book with smoothie recipes. My parents gave me a Hello Kitty pajama, red bathrobe, pie forms, alarm clock and a big black lantern that fits big candles. Lev got a computer guard and a tiny vacuum cleaner that you hook up through the USB ports from my parents and a radio car with Yoshi on it from my sister.

After handing out the presents me and my sister gave Lev a ride home as my parents were having the whole family over for the Christmas smörgåsbord later in the evening and a lot of people always means a lot of stress for him. I always wants him to feel well and I don’t force him to stay around for big family gatherings and we did actually spend half of the day, if not more, together.

Around 18:00 pm the whole family came over, grandparents, uncles, wifes, cousins and their partners. We ate food and had a gift game. The gift game means that everyone buys one gift, not telling anyone else what they got and then on Christmas Eve all the gifts are put on a table and everyone gets to pick one gift. This year we used a deck of card to decide who got to choose a gift first. I got a small and nice black lantern as a gift, goes very well with the big one I got earlier in the day from my parents.

I basically went home after the gift game, around 22:00 pm, as I wanted to spend the rest of the night with Lev. We had not yet switched gifts so it was very exciting to go home Haha.

Lev had made a beautiful card and I got tons of things from him! I got the fourth season of Futurama (I have all seasons now!),clothes, a swimming card for one month (exactly what I wanted, wieee!) and a lot of funny and cool Hello Kitty stuff, like a mouse pad, mini figures and such. I had bought a xbox360 HD DVD player to Lev and the movie “Apollo 13″ , which I know that he likes, on HD DVD.

It was such a good day and everything worked out so well. I hope next year is just as good too

Halloween basically doesn’t exist in Sweden, no other than teenagers looking for a reason to get drunk dresses up and I don’t think that people carve any bigger amounts of pumpkins actually. Well, with an American in the household I felt that we at least had to do something and as my mom gave us 2 pumpkins not that long ago I decided to “decorate” one of them today…

It didn’t turn out as good as I wanted but I guess I could have done a worse job Anyhow, here’s my pumpkin:
